Cancellation Policy for Trainings

With respect to cancellations and refunds is as follows:

  • If you register for an event and cancel your registration 30 or more days prior to the event, you will receive a full refund minus a $25.00 processing fee.

  • If you register for an event and cancel fewer than 30 days before the event, you will receive a refund of 50% of the registration price.

  • If you register for an event and do not attend, our policy is that you forfeit the registration fee.

  • Denise Folsom/The Legacy House, PLLC reserves the right to cancel any training due to unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, you will be notified given options regarding taking another training or a refund if you notify us in writing at thelegacyhousepc@gmail.com. The Legacy House’s liability for cancellations is limited to the cost of the registration fee. The Legacy House is not responsible for other expenses incurred by the customer if training is cancelled.

Training Grievance Policy

The Legacy House is fully committed to conducting all activities in strict conformance with the various licensing bodies. THE LEGACY HOUSE will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content, and in the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be the responsibility of THE LEGACY HOUSE Owner Denise Folsom.

While THE LEGACY HOUSE goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues which come to the attention of the training staff which require intervention and/or action on the part of the training staff or an officer of THE LEGACY HOUSE. This procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances. Please allow five business days to process and review your report.

1. When a participant, either orally or in written format, files a grievance and expects action on the complaint, the following actions will be taken.

If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker or the style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put his/her comments in written format and submit them to The Legacy House. Denise will then pass on the comments to co=owner Trethany Snider and members on the Symposium Committee who will then check into the grievance filed.

2. If the grievance concerns a workshop offering, its content, its level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered, Denise Folsom will:

    A. attempt to move the participant to another workshop

    B. provide a credit for a subsequent workshop; or 

    C. provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee in accordance with our cancellations policy This will require a written note to The Legacy House documenting the grievance, for record keeping purposes. The grievance should be submitted via email or post and include full name, email, phone number, address, and the workshop concerned. Please include the start date of the workshop.

   3. Grievances concerning trainings, in a specific regard, should be sent to the Denise Folsom and she will attempt         to arbitrate.

Any concerns will be brought to our licensing boards and necessary corrections to the workshop will be made. Please contact your state board for final ruling on CE requirements. If you have a workshop with CEs available but your state does not accept our licensing boards, you will be refunded the advertised discount available for your workshop. If you wish to cancel, you may receive a partial or full refund of the workshop fee in accordance with our cancellations policy.
